Thursday, July 24 - Good morning, good morning.  Eight hotball hits, four wins in three digits.  Players at Poker Palace snagged two hits; all hotballs at Poker Palace are $1,000+.  Sams' Town paid out the high at $3,375.

A visitor wrote that "Terrible's has added a second chance coverall to all sessions....but you don't win CASH or BINGO BUCKS....instead you get Free Slot Play...."  In his e-mail, the visitor made it clear he prefers cash or bingo bucks.

Another visitor sent in a story and here's an excerpt:  "The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches."

And we have a Government Health Warning - DO NOT SWALLOW GUM

Couldn't resist that one.  Thanks RL.  Had a good day yesterday as we saw "Dark Knight,", had dinner, and I  had a little win from my little play.  Have yourself a merry day.  Sue 6:45am

Wednesday, July 23 - Good morning, good morning.  Nine hotball hits with the high at the Cannery for $3,891.  Not bad.

Regarding the change to "paper only" at Fiesta Rancho, we had one visitor who says "ugh" and another who is happy and is anxiously awaiting August 1.  Obviously, some hate it, some love it.

For bakers out there, beware of Mexican vanilla.

Use the F.A.S.T. test if you suspect someone is having a stroke.
FACE - Ask the person to smile.  Does one side droop?
ARMS - Ask the person to raise both arms.  Does one arm drift downward?
SPEECH - Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence.  Are the words slurred?
TIME - If the person shows any of these symptoms, time becomes crucial.  Call 911.

I've been cooped up for a while, last gambling day was a whole week ago.  May do just a little bit today :).  Good luck to me and, always to you.  Sue 7:10am

Tuesday, July 22 - Good morning, good morning.  We see eight hotball hits for yesterday with the high by far at the Gold Coast for $6,207.  Good for the winners.

We heard from a visitor and a bingo insider that Fiesta Rancho is going to all paper August 1st.  So both Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta Rancho will be paper only rooms.  Pros and cons about that, no?  What do you think?  One thing for sure, Fiesta players won't be buying max countdowns.

Have a great day.  Think lucky.  Sue 7:15am

Monday, July 21 - A happy Monday morning to you. Counted up 15 hotball hits for yesterday, that's quite a few.  Players at Arizona Charlie's Decatur enjoyed four of those hits; the high was at Fiesta Rancho for $3,047.  For today, we note that Terrible's 11am $10,000 jackpot went to 37 numbers and the bonus coverall went to 52 numbers.  Good Luck.

Louise sent in a warning about fraud at the gas pump.  To avoid being a victim when we use a credit card at the gas pump, we should always "Press the CLEAR button on the transaction key pad after taking the printed receipt. Unless we press the CLEAR button, our credit card information is stored in the machine until the next customer inserts their card, enabling someone to buy gas using our credit card information.

I wrote to Clark County Recreation Department complaining that out of the approximately 30 outdoor swimming pools, not one has at least an hour set aside for adult only swimming.  Of course, they didn't bother to even acknowledge my e-mail. Annoying.  Wonder if any of our local casinos open their pool to locals?  Wouldn't it be nice to sit around a pool with a cocktail and other adults?  Just fantasizing.

Smile.  Sue 7:00am

Sunday, July 20 - Good morning, good morning.  Another day of a possible thunderstorm, but I still haven't seen any rain, at least not here in North Las Vegas.

Thirteen hotballs for yesterday with the high at the Cannery's 10pm for $7,939.  Way to go players.  Couple of little odd things:  Cannery's progressive didn't progress - assume human error :); on the hotline,Fiesta Rancho said the 11pm hotball for today was $858 but the website has $560; and the Silver Nugget has separate money balls aka hotballs for their super sessions at 7pm on Saturdays and 1pm on Sundays.   Now, I usually don't bother mentioning little differences like the amounts for Fiesta Rancho, but just so you know that we try our best to get correct info out to you.

Rag Lady sent in the link for "The Secret" which has a beautiful video of planet earth, worth the watch.  "The Secret" is a best-selling book promoting logocentrism - the idea that what a person thinks participates or even creates reality.  So, think positive, think lucky, think good.

Good bingo out there.  Hope you are at the right place and the right time.  Sue 7:55am

Saturday, July 19 - Good morning, good morning.  Looks like Sam's Town had to pay out that five digit hotball last night - $13,694 - congratulations to the winner(s)!  Players at Sam's Town also hit a $2,452 jackpot, leaving the rest of Bingoland pretty much in the dust.

Arizona Charlie's Decatur has two sessions with triple $1,000 coveralls - 11am and 9pm - and $8 small rainbows.  Arizona Charlie's Boulder has $6 paper rainbows. Suncoast has four $1,000 coveralls at the 9pm session tonight and the Gold Coast has them at 7pm session.  Cannery has an 18 game super session at the 10pm session with triple action and triple chance coverall.  Silver Nugget has a 19 game super session at 7pm tonight.

Stations' Dual Daub started two weeks ago and the "free slot play" has increased from $50,000 to $59,097.  This averages approximately $650 a day increase or a little over $100 a day from each of the six linked bingo rooms.  I tend to agree with the visitor who commented that the Dual Daub doesn't seem to be going up very much.  Even considering the consolation payouts.  Would seem to me that the jackpots should be reversed, that the grand winner gets the progressive pot and the free slot play stays at $50,000.  Stations, any casino, pretty much get back "free slot play."

Whatever you do, do your best and make room for fun.  Good luck.  Sue 7:42am

Friday, July 18 - Good morning, good morning. A couple of places not on the hotline this morning, but it looks like the high hit was at Sam's Town for $5,002.

Rag Lady sends in a You Tube video:  "The largest reenlistment ceremony in the history of the U.S. military took place in the rotunda of the Al Faw Palace in Baghdad, Iraq on July 4, 2008."   A very moving video.  Rag Lady also sends "Top 25 Things Vanishing from America".

Hubby and I met a friend from out-of-town at Casino Royale the other night.  We parked in Harrah's and have to tell you that the hawkers we encountered during the short walk was not pretty.  Those aggressive "sales people" are annoying to say the least and take away some of the fun of being on the famous Strip.  Just airing a peeve :).

Wish you a terrific Friday, filled with FUN.  Sue 7:50am

Thursday, July 17 - Good morning, good morning.  Yesterday was decent with 12 hotball hits and the high at the South Point for $3,348.

I'm late, I'm late.  Think I found part of the computer type problem I'm having.  This program I am working in does not like the rolling tables on the first page, so most of those are gone, will be keeping just the last day or two.  Same with old Progressive Wins, they've been moved to archives.

I did put up four bingo programs, but not sure if the one for Poker Palace is current.  Pretty sure the other three are current programs.  More on that later.

Have a great day.  Sue 9:00am

Wednesday, July 16 - Good morning, good morning.  A player at little Poker Palace stole the show and hit the Dual Daub jackpot for $16,275 set at only 34 numbers. Good for you.  Four out of eight hotball hits captured by Sam's Town players, but the high was the five digit at the Gold Coast for $11,714.

Computer hang-ups caused a time problem this morning, plus I went out yesterday and lost and not feeling very perky .  It sure is fun to win and sure is misery to lose.  Hope you have better luck.  Sue 8:25am

Tuesday, July 15 - Good morning, good morning.  Counted 11 hotball hits yesterday with three in a row at the Gold Coast totalling over $9,400.   But South Point players edged out Gold Coast players by winning  over $9,900 with  two hotballs hits, one for $8,716.

Oh, I heard about it, my typo yesterday:  "Looks like "someone" forgot to hold the shift key when hitting #4....LOL...
it does make that cashball hit a lot more interesting.....we still love ya !!!!"   I like the "love ya" part :).

A visitor also mentioned that Stations' Dual Daub jackpot amount doesn't seem to be going up very much for 6 bingo rooms.  Have to be honest and admit that I haven't been paying attention since the win amount is a flat $50,000 and the rest is what someone called "virtual" money.

Speaking of virtual money, I know that sometimes when I play, my own money seems virtual, not real.  If that happens to you on occasion, this is something we definitely must stop.  I didn't say we had to stop playing, just play smart :) :) :).  Sue 7:40am

Monday, July 14 - Good morning, good morning.  Keep hearing promises of rain, but I haven't seen any yet.  Could we be lucky today?  Yesterday's action included 9 hotball hits with the high at the Cannery for 43,583 $3,583.

To see Silver Nugget's hot new program - click here.  Interesting games, light traffic, low buy-ins, great payouts, and separate smoking and non-smoking rooms.

Rag lady sent in the story about a orphaned baby hippopotamus who has bonded with 100 year old tortoise.  Talk about odd couples.

Monday, Monday.  Tough day for many workers, but hang in there.  Well, actually, stop hanging and start swinging.  Smile!  Sue 7:39am

Sunday, July 13 - Good morning, good morning.  Two progressives and 14 hotball hits - Whoa, what a bingo day.  The Even Bettor at the Suncoast for $40,211 hit the first day at 54 numbers.  Fiesta Rancho's Dual Daub for $18,800 only took a couple of days at 36 numbers.  South Point paid out hotballs for the 7pm, 9pm, and 11pm sessions including the high for the day at $4,853.  A very good day for VBPs.

Here's a site that sells lucky gemstones, another way to help us stay focused on "thinking positive" and "thinking lucky."

Have a great day.  Play smart.  Sue 7:45am

Saturday, July 12 - Good morning, good morning.  Counted up six hits yesterday with the high at the Silver Nugget for $1,448. (Correction - five hits, high at Az. Charlie's Decatur).  Silver Nugget has a 7pm Super Session tonight - Double Pay and 19 games.  Sam's 9pm hotball didn't go the other day afterall, at $10,658 tonight.  Suncoast's odd/even progressive went to 54 numbers.

Rag Lady sent in the link for two comp tickets to see the Mentalist at Hooters - go to comps.mentalist.com for details. Louise sent in "3 Ways to Lower Gas Prices" by Newt Gingrich on YouTube.  We highly recommend taking a couple of minutes to listen to Newt's plan, regardless of your political affiliation.  If you've seen a video of popping corn with a cell phone, it's a trick -  Urban Legends   And Rag Lady sent in the link of a picture of her dog, LB, in Times Square.  How cute.

Have a wonderful Saturday, we might get lucky and have some rain today.  Hooray!  Sue 7:27am .

Friday, July 11 - What a difference a day makes! - 16 hotball hits, many biggees. World's greatest bingo players at it again.

PCT and I had a fun time playing bingo at Silver Nugget, best little bingo secret in town.  Prices and payouts are great and competition light.  Even I yelled bingo twice :).  They have a new program and will put it up for you to see in the next day or two.

Regarding the comment yesterday about volunteers at Stations' big game, I made an incorrect assumption that these were "unpaid" volunteers and understand that regular agents "volunteered" to work the game and now assume they will be paid accordingly :).  Why they can't keep tips, don't know.

Heat's down today.  Good. Running late, but just want you to know we hope you have a fat win.  Sue 8:22am

Thursday, July 10 - Good morning, good morning.  Bit of a slowdown in Vegas Bingoland yesterday.  Only five hotball hits, but the high was decent at Suncoast for $4,182.  Little Silver Nugget had excellent action with two hits out of six sessions.  PCT and I made plans to go to Silver Nugget's 1pm today so hope they are still in extra payout mode.  The Gold Coast's 7pm remains at $2,500 so it could mean a hit yesterday.  I don't show same amounts as hits since I don't know for sure what happened.

We received an e-mail from a visitor about Stations' big game coming up July 20, for past winners I believe.  The visitor led us to Craig's List where another player posted a complaint that volunteer agents at that game will not be able to keep tips.  Go to this link on Craig's List to read the complaint.  I don't know what is going on, but my guess is that the reason volunteers may not be able to keep tips has something to do with labor laws.  Don't know though.  My question is why does Stations need volunteers?

As far as the big game, hope they do not play any regular, single bingos.  I went to one years ago with many, many other players and the program had single games which caused numerous splits and delays.  Mega games require at least doubles or hardways.

Bingo Gang, have a great day.  Sue 7:17am

Wednesday, July 9 -  All About Sam.   Lucky players hit the Even Bettor jackpot for $32,088 and the 7pm hotball for $17,971!  Sam's Town also paid out a $4,180 hotball jackpot, so VBPs won over $54,000 at Sam's bingo room yesterday.  Outstanding.  And that's not the end of the story.  Terrible's paid out a $10,000 jackpot!  Counted 12 hotballs with Plaza not reporting in.  Cannery didn't indicate an increase in the progressive game, assume a slight oversight; Silver Nugget forgot to give the Dual Daub amount; and I have to mention that Sam's agent was so soft-spoken, she was hard to hear (but I'm pretty sure I have correct amounts for today).  What a day - congratulations to the lucky players.

Make-up creates glamour - see some celebs without their glamour.    Makes me feel better :)

Yet another computer geek who wants us to try to click the ball - like I'm not going crazy fast enough?

Do your best and the rest will come.  Sue 7:27am

Tuesday, July 8 - Good morning, good morning.  We see nine hotball hits with the first and second highs at Sam's Town for $3,757 and $2,700.  But Sam's five digit wonder is still the ring on the merry-go-round.  So is the 54# odd/even game.  Good luck.

Newt Gingrich has the platform "American Solutions" and has a petition to "the U.S. Congress to act immediately to lower gasoline prices (and diesel and other fuel prices)* by authorizing the exploration of proven energy reserves to reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources from unstable countries."  I believe this is one of a few petitions on the internet that actually has some backbone.

To get an idea of the size of ANWR and reasons to drill there, go to ANWR.org.  Once there, click on the ANWR photo gallery, and enlarge the third picture.  I sure had no idea.

Being creative is one of several steps to being happy.  We were sent a picture of a guy in Idaho who collected thousands and thousands of pine needles which he used to sculpt a life-sized bear.  Now we don't have to be THAT creative, a little creativity around the house or yard works too :).

We were also sent an e-mail with "real or fake" photos.  So much of what floats around the internet is not to be trusted.  Urban Legends tells us, in quiz form, which of some popular photos are phony.

And more for quiz lovers, here's one that's tricky - Flash Fabrica.  Instructions:  1. Touch 'start' 2. Wait for 3, 2, 1 countdown.
3. Memorize the number's position on the screen, then click the circle from the smallest number to the biggest number.
4. At the end of game, computer will tell you how old your brain is.

The governement has a site to help parents monitor what their children access in this age of technology - FCC.gov.

Kingston.com has a 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card for $8.

If you have never been to Jacquie Lawson's site, here's a card we received that is a preview of her work.  She's pretty amazing.

You remember those computer geeks I said had too much time on their hands coming up with the flaming cursor and the FBI eyes - well here's another, but much, much cuter.

We put a dent in the e-mail, but not done yet.  Have a great day.  Sue 7:45am

Monday, July 7 - A happy Monday morning to you.  Counted up ten hotball hits yesterday with the high of $7,372 at the Suncoast.

We heard from a visitor who tried the Dual Daub at a Station casino last night:  "1 winner for the first consolation on the 43rd number....17 winners split the 400 second chance on the 48th number....$24 each.... the [dual daub] game ended at 9:28PM....session ran till 10:22...."  Hmmm,  I don't know if that was a fluke or if it will happen more often since there are six casinos linked.  Have to wait and see.

Rag Lady introduced me to the Pedicure Egg, and now she sends the Peticure for dog owners.  Good going RL.

Smile, smile, smile ) :) :).  Sue 8:12am

Sunday, July 6 - Good morning, good morning.  Yesterday was hot outside the casinos and inside the bingo rooms.  Thirteen hotball hits that we know about with the high at Sam's Town for $5,610.  Sam's Even Bettor is at 54 numbers and there's a five digit hotball at the 7pm session.  Lots of good bingo on Sunday afternoons.

I know, more changes to this website, but I did manage to reduce the size of the file and had hoped that would stop the hangups when I am working on it, but it didn't.  So there may be more changes until I locate the culprit.

We are admittedly quite a bit behind on our e-mail, but don't quit on us.  We'll get to it, honest.

I changed Stations' Dual Daub from $100,000 to $50,000 since the winner receives the $50,000 and the overage is shared in free slot play by players at the winning session who bought into Dual Daub.  According to the website.

I realize some players may like getting something if not the prize, but I personally am not thrilled with "free slot play."  I see it as another way to get us to play the bandits more, and not on our terms.  We know we should play when we have the time, the money, and the desire, not on the casinos' terms.  Casinos don't seem to mind passing out free slot play or even $100 in cash because I am sure the return percentage is quite high.  Well, those are my thoughts on the matter :).

Have a wonderful day.  Sue 8:24am

Saturday, July 5 - The Jumbo is history. Finally. Stations goes onto a Dual Daub game with their website showing $100,000, 30#'s, and $50,000 to the winner and $50,000 in shared free slot play. Assume the new game is linked as well and would have to be played as the first game. Let us know what the scoop is so we can pass it along.

Cannery paid out two jackpots - $3,355 and $2,938. Good going.

The phones are working. We did the "test" - opened up the outside telephone box, took a house phone and tried all six jacks in the box, no dial tone, which meant the problem was outside. Outside problem, no service charge. Yea. Repairman was out in a jif and all is well.

Will be making website changes so if the current page doesn't come up for you, please try your F5 key or Refresh button. I know there is a meta tag that would eliminate such a need, but I stay completely away from HTML coding.

Now the casinos do everything they can to get our money, so let's do everything we can to get theirs. Play smart and walk out with those wins :). Sue 7:35am

Friday, July 4th - Good morning, good morning. The bingo headline - Winner at South Point picks up a cool $50,835! That hunk of change went to 36 numbers on Wednesday - fast hit. Funny thing, Rose returned home this week and when we were chit-chatting yesterday morning, she said she was making a run to South Point (her closest) since it had been a while since she played with the trip and all. I brought up the fact that South Point had a 36# jackpot. Rose was going to make a stab, but I see that the winner was a gal named "Charlotte." Rose, you didn't use stolen identity, did you?

With that super hit and 10 hotball hits, high at Suncoast for $7,083, made for a pretty darn good bingo day in Las Vegas.
Rag Lady, bless her, sent in John Wayne's "Why I Love America" , history of our Independence Day, Elvis singing ""America the Beautiful" and a dot-gov site filled with miscellany about our country's birthday.

Being a spoiler today, here's my Tale of Two Woes. First, the program I use to get the bingo info out to you is giving me fits, hanging up and all, somehow tripled in size, etc. I worked on it quite a while yesterday including deleting a lot of graphics and past comments to see it that would help. Not the problem. I also started a "redo" and you may see all kinds of different looks in the next week or so, until my "consultant" from out-of-town arrives (Rose's grandson) .

Secondly, our home telephone service went on the blink. Called Embarq, tried to do a so-called reset which didn't work, next step is a test box outside to determine if problem inside or outside, then a service call for $50 and $25 for every 15 minutes. Well, hubby is thinking about adding the phone to our Cox Cable service. Called them, the cost would be $16.88 for local, another $15 for unlimited long distance, takes Embarq 7 working days to release home numbers to Cox, etc. (Ace, I couldn't get him to go for the Magic Jack. Darn.) Saw an ad by T-Mobile for their cell phone users - local and long distance home phone service for ten bucks a month - now that's a deal, but alas, we have ATT cells. It will take hubby forever to decide on Embarq, Cox, or ??? In the meanwhile, the upside is no marketing calls coming :). Anyway, the point is it takes a little longer using a cell to get the bingo info off the hotline. Am I devoted or what?

All right, all right, I'm done :). Have a extra special Fourth!. Sue 7:55am

Thursday, July 3 - Well, let me tell you, certain Gold Coast players were show-offs yesterday, strutting their stuff and hitting back-to-back hotballs for $11,396 and $13,750.  And Suncoast players picked up a pot for $6,749.  Congratulations to the lucky Coast players!

Silver Nugget did away with the Bonanza game and had moved the $12,250 jackpot to the Dual Daub game setting the numbers at 34.  Guess what!  First day, a lucky, lucky player hit the jackpot in 32 numbers!  Just never know.

111° expected temp - as if it wasn't hot enough yesterday.  Be careful.

Stations has a big ad about cash drawings for this holiday weekend.  Sounds great except I suspect most $100 winners will not be walking out with that money, but just giving it back.  Play smart.  Sue 8:04am

Wednesday, July 2 - Good morning, good morning.  Only four (4) hotball hits with the high at Fiesta Rancho for $2,748. Not a good start for July?   We did hear from Silver Nugget that a very lucky player hit that Bonanza game for $12,250.  Way to go! Silver Nugget is increasing the excitment in their program with some changes and will let you know more on that later.

We had 123,880 hits last month and Rose and I send all of you our sincere appreciation for stopping by.  We thrive on strokes :).

Today is a special day for a special friend in Pennsylvania.  Happy Birthday Doris!  Wish you were here.  Sue 8:18am

Tuesday, July 1 - Good morning, good morning.  We see 8 hotball hits for yesterday with the high at the Cannery for $1,987.  BUT, the big hit was that $10,000 at Terrible's that finally went into the hands of the victor, 11 days after turning 38.  Took a while, didn't it?

We have links from Rag Lady for a free sample of a new caulk product. and many food coupons.  I like the one for Dove candy - buy one, get one free up to $3.99.  That's a deal.  Thanks RL.  You are a major help.

Here's another site from RL - How Rich Are You?  "Select your currency from the drop down box and then type in the amount of your annual income. Then click on the “Show Me the Money!” button.  It will calculate your wealth in comparison to the rest of the world."

July First. My, my, here already.  Enjoy your time, it flies by.  Sue 6:30am

Monday, June 30 - A happy Monday morning to you.  Hotball action was decent yesterday with 11 hits and a high of $3,183 at the Cannery.

I don't have a hard copy of the Bingo Bugle yet, but if you want a heads up on July happenings go to Bingo4Fun and click on the July 2008 Nevada issue.

Play bingo at Sam's Town tomorrow and pick up glass serving bowls.  Nice gift.

Smile and always play to win.  Sue 7:25am

Sunday, June 29 - Good morning, good morning.  No progressives and 10 hotball hits with the high at Sam's Town for $3,710.

Here's a video from Louise which gives a quick tour of Texas with the background music "I've Been Everywhere" - cleverly put together, but not as pretty as Arizona.

We have an e-mail of the Tiger Temple or Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua, a Buddhist temple in Western Thailand, which shows visitors petting tigers. There's a picture of a visitor with a tiger at the end of the article in the Wikipedia.  Now there is no way in the world I would EVER pet a tiger under any circumstance.  Some people are risk takers -  in and outside of a casino :).

Hubby had a happy birthday and for today, I predict that the recliner will be his best friend.  Whatever you do today, do your best and be happy.  Sue 7:35am
